Terms of Service

Last updated 13 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of burcomgc.com and to requesting an estimate from Burcom General Contractor (“Burcom”, “we”, “us”), owned and operated by Francois Burger. By using this site or sending us an enquiry, you agree to them.

What this site is

This site describes the work Burcom does and gives you a way to get in touch. Nothing on it is an offer to enter into a contract, and nothing on it is a fixed price.

Estimates

Estimates are free and there is no obligation attached to asking for one.

  • An estimate is a written price for a described scope of work. It is not a contract until both sides agree to it.
  • An estimate is based on what could be seen and what you told us at the time. If the work turns out to involve something that was not visible, such as rot behind a wall, we will tell you before doing anything about it and agree the change with you first.
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days unless the estimate itself says otherwise.
  • Where a job needs a licensed specialist instead, such as a full re‑roof, a licensed plumber or an electrician, we will tell you rather than take it on.

The work itself

Once you accept an estimate, the work is governed by that estimate and anything separately agreed in writing between us. Where those terms conflict with this page, the estimate and the written agreement win.

Payment terms are agreed in writing before work starts, so there is no conversation about it at the end.

Messages you receive from us

If you contact us, we will reply by phone, text or email using the details you gave us. If you ticked a consent box on our form, the following applies.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase or of getting an estimate. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Marketing consent and service‑message consent are separate. Opting out of one does not opt you out of the other, and you can stop either at any time by replying STOP or telling us.

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Using this site

Please do not use this site to do anything unlawful, to attempt to gain access to systems or accounts, to scrape it at a scale that interferes with it working, or to submit forms with information that is not yours to submit.

Content and photographs

The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Burcom General Contractor and may not be copied or reused without permission. Photographs of completed work are of jobs Burcom carried out.

If you send us photographs of your property so we can quote, you give us permission to use them to prepare and carry out that work. We will not publish photographs of your property without asking you first.

No warranty on the site itself

We keep this site accurate and current as best we can, but it is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will always be available or free of errors. Descriptions of services are general, and what applies to your job is what is written in your estimate.

This does not limit or affect any warranty or guarantee given on work actually performed, which is set out in your estimate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Burcom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Liability for work performed is governed by your estimate, the written agreement between us, and our insurance.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or out of work performed by Burcom will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Worcester County, Maryland, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.
